Young people from Ulyanovsk will read aloud books about the war – Ulyanovsk today

On the eve of Victory Day, Ulyanovsk will join the XIII International Action “Reading to Children about the Great Patriotic War.”

At 11.00 on May 5 in Ulyanovsk libraries, schools, kindergartens and other institutions scheduled an hour of simultaneous reading aloud the best examples of fiction on the events of 1941-1945. Children from 5 to 15 years old will be reminded of the heroic deeds of their ancestors.

In the regional library for children and youth named after ST Aksakov’s reading of books about the war will be accompanied by slide presentations and a musical video series.

– Librarians organize meetings with veterans and children of war or with families of veterans who can bring family photos, relics, visit veterans on this day, write down their memories, read stories about the war with them, – say the staff of Aksakovka. – After reading books about the war, children share their thoughts, experiences, talk about their ancestors, who participated in the Great Patriotic War, read poems about the war and the Victory. In memory of the soldiers’ exploits, the children are presented with St. George’s ribbons, and candles are lit to honor the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
