In April 2022, several intriguing series return. A kind of variation of “Groundhog Day” called “Matryoshka Life”, a psychedelic thriller “Cancellation”, an anthology about the production of cursed films and a tragicomedy about the wife of a billionaire billionaire “Toy for Adults”.
But it all comes out on Western streaming, so you can only legally watch Russian series – we have them! The hit “Epidemic” and the drama “Passengers” are back.

What? Post-apocalyptic thriller, film adaptation of Yana Wagner’s novel “Wongozero”.
About what? About a world that plunged into chaos after a global catastrophe. An unknown virus has turned Moscow into a city of the dead, a group of survivors are fighting for food and trying to get out of hell. In the second season, people who would never have remained under one roof before, left Moscow together and went on a dangerous journey north.
What are we waiting for? The heroes’ attempts to live in a world that will no longer be the same. If in the original book the journey ended with the arrival of the heroes on Vongozero, then in the series this is only an intermediate point.
Kirill Chiaro, Mariana Spivak, Alexander Robak and others will return to their roles. They were accompanied by Yura Borisov (“Captain Volkonogov fled”, “Silver Skates”), Victoria Klinkova (“Wolf”), Nikita Elenev (“The Heifers”).

What? A surreal psychological thriller.
About what? About the girl Alma, who after a car accident discovers the ability to travel in space and time, which allows her to contact her long-dead father. Alma is sure that she can prevent the death of her father with her own efforts, but everything turns out to be much more complicated.
In the second season, Alma learns that her sister has similar abilities – and now tries to persuade her to use her strength to help her mother.
What are we waiting for? The first season was amazing in every way: from the cast (Alma was played by Rosa Salazar and her father was Bob Odenkörk) to the rotoscopy technique, with which the creators masterfully showed phantasmagoric journeys in time and vision. Judging by the trailer, in the second season such tricks promise no less.
But the series did not give an unambiguous answer, which in fact are the visions of Alma – there was always the option that the girl suffered an injury and she is just haunted by images. Apparently, in the sequel, the creators decided to show a more fantastic story. And at the same time to reveal how these unusual abilities work.
By the way, about the creators – showrunners are Raphael Bob-Waxberg and Kate Pardi, co-authors of “BoJack’s Horse”.

What? Fantastic comedy in the spirit of “Groundhog Day”.
About what? At the center of the story is Nadia, who wakes up on her thirty-sixth birthday in someone else’s apartment in the company of strangers. Then the heroine is hit by a car, and she returns to her birthday to relive it. And so again and again.
What are we waiting for? The first season was surprising with an unusual approach to the time loop – in terms of game design and in connection with the games in general. In an interview, the lead actress Natasha Lyonn hinted that Nadia is not alone in the universe – “there are always millions of you around.” In addition, the actress said that the series borrows even more ideas from video games.

What are we waiting for? If the first season bet on Kirill Chiaro (in the second he, too, by the way, will appear), then in the second we will see a duet of Sergei Gilev and Anna Chipovskaya. To the main mystical line is added another – romantic. Now the main characters will be worried not only about the fate of restless passengers, but also their own feelings.

What? Fantastic tragicomedy.
About what? About thirty-year-old Hazel Green, who runs away from her billionaire husband, tired of his antics. Her husband is a closed and tech-savvy businessman, but Hazel has yet to find out how crazy he is. The girl soon learns that her husband has implanted a high-tech chip in her brain that allows her to track her whereabouts and read her emotions.
What are we waiting for? There are no details about the second season. It is known that the main role was again played by Christine Milioti (“Hang in the Palm Springs“,” How I met your mother “). The script for the second season was again written by the author of the original book, Alyssa Natting.
