A new school of stone carving has appeared in Yekaterinburg – ancient art is taught at the Center for the History of Stone Carving on Pushkin Street. It was opened by the Museum of Fine Arts with the support of private patrons (we wrote that more than 20 million rubles were invested in the reconstruction of the building).
On the ground floor of the mansion there was an exposition about the history of gem mining in the Urals, and in the basement – built real workshops with equipment for processing natural stones. Under the guidance of teachers, both adults and children can try their hand at creating souvenirs and jewelry.
