Brothers Robert and Aaron Marderosyan claimed copyright infringement. The plaintiffs are musicians of the Heavy Young Heathens. The House of the Rising Sun is a “very valuable licensed asset” for the band.

The musicians demand compensation for material damage, as well as to prevent any future violations by the defendants. The amount of the claim is not specified.

Alexa Knirim and Brandon Fraser finished third in the short program of the team competition at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The House of the Rising Sun is a traditional song, performed by the British band The Animals, it topped the charts in both the United States and Britain in 1964.

Formerly a journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Posner commented performance of figure skater Kamila Valieva in the free program at the Olympic Games in Beijing. He called the story with Valieva shameful.

“IOC and WADA officials should be ashamed, not to mention the many journalists who have said and written utterly disgusting things,” the TV presenter said.
