The Russian military and border guards prevented “the violation of the border by a sabotage and reconnaissance group from Ukraine,” RIA Novosti reported, citing a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The military reports that on February 21, Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles crossed the border to evacuate a group of saboteurs. There are no casualties among Russian soldiers.
According to a 161.RU source in the security forces, five violators of the border were killed in the clash. In addition, the Russian military destroyed equipment of the Ukrainian army.
