Well-known Soviet and Russian actor Sergei Zhigunov became popular in the 1980s, when Svetlana Druzhinina’s film “Midshipmen, Forward!” Was released. But by the early 2000s, the actor began to be forgotten, and the main role in the series “My beautiful babysitter”, where he played Maxim Shatalin, the father of children for whom they hired a babysitter Vika, was invaluable. The actor essentially played himself there – a businessman and a producer. Zhigunov is still not only an actor, but also produces TV series and feature films. He shot the sequel to The Three Musketeers.
For four years the artist was the president of the Guild of Russian Film Actors, and in 2003 he joined the United Russia political party. Last year, during the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, he was appointed adviser to the chairman of the New People party on culture.
