On Saturday, May 21, Vladivostok will join the all-Russian action “Night of Museums”. Residents of the region are invited to thematic exhibitions, tours, game libraries and installations. Guests will be welcomed in the buildings of the Arsenyev Museum, forte № 7 and on the Novosiltsev Battery, in the museums of TOF and FEFU, in the historical park “Russia – My History”, Vladivostok Circus, art gallery, gallery “Arch”, halls of the Union of Artists and contemporary art centers “Artetazh” and “Zarya”.
Arsenyev Museum awaits guests at all four Vladivostok sites of the institution – in the main building (Svetlanskaya, 20), the City Museum (Peter the Great, 6), the House of Traveler Arsenyev (Arsenyev, 7-b) and the House of Official Sukhanov (Sukhanov, 9). From 11:00 to 23:00 there will be tours, meetings, workshops, “Fairy Tales with Milk” and much more. During the day there will be walking tours of the city center, and near the entrance to the main building there will also be a street playground with a food court, a book fair and performances by musicians. Join the international action Vladivostok Fortress Museum-Reserve. Excursions, lectures and master classes will be held at Fort № 7 from 11:00 to 21:00. There is also a music program and a food court. A free bus will run to the fort from the Zarya Factory stop every 30 minutes from 10:30 to 21:00. “Night of Museums” c Military History Museum of the Pacific Fleet (Svetlanskaya, 66) will be dedicated to the Day of Education of the Pacific Fleet and the 77th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. There will be an exhibition of letters from the period of the Great Patriotic War and a book exhibition, which will present publications on the events of the Second World War, as well as the filing of wartime newspapers. In Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of the FEFU Educational and Scientific Museum (Ocean Avenue, 37) as part of the “Night of Museums” at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 will be tours of the halls. At 14:00 and 16:00 you can listen to lectures – on methods of extracting information from small fragments of ancient pottery and archeology of Japan. The program on the link.
In Russia – My History Historical Park (Aksakovskaya, 12) prepared a program for visitors in the spirit of the Middle Ages. From 13:00 to 18:00 there will be thematic excursions, there will also be a real medieval town with games and workshops. The expositions of the park will be open from 10:00 to 22:00. In Vladivostok State Circus (Svetlanskaya, 103) as part of the “Night of Museums” will show a documentary about the history of the Vladivostok circus (at 18:00, 19:00 and 20:00), will conduct tours of the legendary circus dynasties (at 18:10, 19:10 and 20 : 10) and circus exhibits (at 18:20, 19:20 and 20:20).
“Night of Museums” c Primorsky State Art Gallery will be held in the halls at Aleutian, 12 and Partizansky Avenue, 12 from 16:00 to 24:00. There will be tours, workshops, creative meetings and music programs dedicated to a significant historical date – the 350th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Peter I the Great. Details here.
Primorsky Krai branch of the Union of Artists of Russia (Aleutskaya, 14a) as part of the “Night of Museums” from 10:00 to 24:00 will show personal exhibitions of paintings and graphics, and from 20:00 to 24:00 will hold master classes.
Arch Gallery (Svetlanskaya, 7) on Saturday will be open from 11:00 to 24:00. Here you can visit the exhibition “Rothko in the village”. At 17:00 there will be a public talk with artist Masha Lamzina.
“Night of Museums” c Center for Contemporary Art “Artetage” (Admiral Fokin, 25) will be dedicated to the Russian avant-garde. Colorful multimedia projections, performance and music programs were prepared for the guests. From 10:00 to 24:00 there will be an exhibition of master’s students of FEFU “Digital Art” (DA), a master class and lectures from the School of Creative Industries and specially selected for the concept of the event, lectures, workshops. The Night of Museums will last the longest Zarya Center for Contemporary Art (Avenue of the 100th anniversary of Vladivostok, 155) – from 12:00 to 02:00. The program will include tours of the exhibition “Dream of Dawn” and street art objects, a mini-exhibition of Lech Hominid Crafts. Big and small ”, lectures, film screenings for children and adults, family creative workshops. In the space of the art residence, the members of the DDA group are invited to join the practices of collective inaction.
