The expert suggested that books are becoming more expensive in Russia

Olga Kiseleva, head of the editorial team of a Russian publishing house, said that books in Russia could go up by about 30 percent. The expert cited interruptions in the supply of materials, including paper, as well as problems with logistics as prerequisites for this.

Kiselyova said many plants closed about two years ago and foreign paper suppliers have suspended supplies. Many raw materials for the production of paper and books also remain imported, including chemicals, foil and fibers.

Earlier, the chairman of the Association of Motor Transport Enterprises of Tatarstan Sergei Temlyakov said that the size of public transport tickets has been reduced by almost half amid rising paper costs.
