Due to Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, international film festivals – Stockholm, Cannes, Venice – have announced a decision to boycott Russian delegations and films related to state funding.
On March 27, the Oscar ceremony was held, for which Russian director Anton Dyakov was nominated. He did not receive a Russian US visa, which is why he was unable to attend the award ceremony.
