Tatar Book Publishing House took part in the First All-Russian Book Exhibition-Fair “Book Mountain Altai”, which is being held these days in Gorno-Altaisk. Children’s editions, historical literature, books of classics of Tatar literature and editions of modern authors were presented here. This was reported by the press service of the publishing house.
On the first day of the exhibition, the Tatarstan stand of the publishing house was visited by the head of the Altai Republic Oleg Khorokhordin. General Director of the Tatar Book Publishing House Ildar Sagdatshin told about the history of the publishing house, about the published books and discussed with the head options for cooperation with the region. Oleg Khorokhordin noted a good selection of presented books and shared that, like the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, he believes that the origin of the Turkic world originates in the Altai.
The All-Russian Book Exhibition-Fair is being held at the Chevalkov National Library as part of a seminar supported by the Russian Publishers’ Association and has already become a big event for all book lovers in the city. More than 30 publishing houses from different regions of Russia take part in the fair. The program of the event includes round tables, master classes of publishers, writers and booksellers.
