The Fabergé Museum together with the cultural and historical fund “Svyaz vremen” will open the exhibition “Russian epic in stone” in St. Petersburg, which will present works of art from the Sverdlovsk region. The curator of the exhibition Lyudmila Budrina told about it. The Shmotiev family fund became a partner of the exhibition, providing the jewels.

“The Cultural and Historical Foundation “Svyaz Vremen” and the Faberge Museum in partnership with the Shmotiev Family Foundation from Yekaterinburg are opening the exhibition “Russian Epic in Stone” in St. Petersburg,” Kommersant newspaper reports. They noted that 31 works of art carved from stone will be placed at the exhibition.

Lyudmila Budrina explained that the theme of the exhibition is related to Russian history, including fairy tales and legends. Rock crystal, quartzite and quartz were used to create compositions. Thanks to the unique technique, it is possible to achieve great brightness and expressiveness of the works.

According to Budrina, it is impossible to say exactly how much the entire exhibited collection costs, since each exhibit is a work of art. Such works are exclusively available to collectors and are not available for public sale.
