Stephen King has said he plans to write a book on the coronavirus pandemic. The writer admitted that the COVID-19 epidemic had already affected his new detective novel about the assassin “Billy Summers”.
“I want to take the events of 2020 and see how they will show themselves as a novel. It will be difficult, “he said on the air talk show The View with Whoopi Goldberg.
In Russia, King’s novel “Billy Summers” will be published in the first half of 2022. Earlier, readers compared the writer’s novel “Confrontation” with the events that shook the world in 2020. At the same time the writer himself denies any similarity between the plot of the novel and the events of the pandemic. In the novel, a pandemic destroys almost the entire population of the world, and the few survivors unite in groups, starting to fight with each other.
