Ukrainian singer Max Barskikh dropped the RU.TV award after he and other musicians were removed from the rotation due to the situation in Ukraine.
Barskikh posted a photo of the statuette in the trash on Instagram. “The annual RU.TV. Look at the streets of the country, “he wrote.
The musician received a statuette three times. In 2018 he won the nomination “Best Video” – “My Love”, in 2021 in the same nomination for the music video for the song “Hey, do not regret it.” In 2019, he received the award in the nomination “Best Singer”.
Earlier, the Russian Media Group holding suspended cooperation with Ukrainian musicians, including Ivan Dorn, Svetlana Loboda, Potap and Nastya, Vera Brezhneva and Valery Meladze. The reason for the decision was the sharp statements of musicians against Russia and colleagues on the stage against the background of strained relations between Russia and Ukraine.
