An exhibition dedicated to graphic illustration has opened in the exhibition hall of the art gallery of the Sviyazhsk Island-Castle Museum-Reserve. This was reported to Tatar-inform by the press service of the museum-reserve.
The exhibition presents graphic works in the techniques of linocut, etching, woodcut and autolithography. These are illustrations to folklore texts, poetic and prose works of Russian and foreign literature, sketches of books. A prominent place is occupied by bookplates – owner’s book marks.
The exhibition presents paintings by 15 contemporary graphic artists from Russian cities, as well as from CIS and foreign countries – Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Mexico.
These works were exhibited in 2015 at the III Kazan International Biennial of Printed Graphics “Rider” and then entered the funds of the Museum-Reserve “Island-City Sviyazhsk”, which participated in this art forum.
“It is possible to enter the exhibition on the” Pushkin Map “,” the head of the press service of the museum-reserve Yulia Nureyeva told the agency.
The exhibition can be visited until May 10 this year.
