Founded in 1985, the Discovery cable network redeemed WarnerMedia at AT&T and formed a new company called Warner Bros. Discovery. It will be headed by former Discovery CEO – 62-year-old David Zaslav.

Due to the acquisition, the two companies underwent significant changes, but some top managers were able to retain their positions. HBO and HBO Max are still run by Casey Blois, and WB’s cinematographer is Toby Emmerich.

WB Discovery’s total revenue is estimated at $ 50 billion, making it one of the largest media companies in history.

According to analysts, the appearance of such a giant on the market will inevitably cause further acquisitions and mergers – to compete in size, finance and content.

David Zaslav notes that WB Discovery will not compete with other streaming giants in spending records, but will launch new projects carefully.
